DJ Vivid Exclusive Interview for EDMDroid Asia

1. Please tell our readers and us more about the nightlife in Japan right now and most specifically in your home away from home Tokyo in times of Covid.

Tokyo is in a state of emergency right now, but some nightclubs are still in operation despite this. But before Covid, Tokyo and Japan, in general, was an amazing home base for my DJ and music production career.

2. How long have you been DJing/Producing, and what can we expect next from DJ Vivid?

I have been producing for almost 18 years and DJing for about 15 years. I focus mostly on my music, so you can definitely expect some cool new sounds from me that reach into new genres.

3. What has been your best and your worst gig experience so far. Be honest, please.

I've had loads of amazing gigs in Japan, China and more, but I did play the main stage at the Road to Tomorrowland festival, which was wild. The worst gig would have to be a show in China where it was basically just a bar with a bunch of tables. I was set to perform for 2 hours with everyone just sitting and filming me, super awkward.

4. If you had to choose, which profession would you be going with? DJ or something else?

I would choose Producer first, followed by a touring DJ to play my music out to my fans.
