DJ Spacemonkey Exclusive Interview for EDMDroid Asia

1. Please tell us and our readers more about the nightlife in Thailand right now in times of Covid, especially in your hometown Bangkok

Well, the Situation here now is better than last year. Most of the top clubs now are open but not 100% yet at the moment. All my fingers cross this crisis can be away by this year.

2. How long have you been DJing & Producing and what can we expect next from you?

Spacemonkey: for me about 20 years of DJ and entertainment business as a Music director and festival consulting.
Austin: I was DJs for 2 years and started trying to produce for a couple of months.
Spacemonkey: My plan for this year I should release a track with my son and make a few Festivals. I’ll keep you guys update and hopefully can join me.
Austin: My next goal will release a track with my Dad. And my highest goal is I want to be second Martin Garrix coz he was my idol.

3. What has been your best and your worst gig experience so far. Be honest please, don't hold back.

Spacemonkey: haha if I want to answer as a PR I may say Every show was great for me. But in the real life, my greatest show should be the Waterzonic festival in 2014 - 2016 and Big Mountain Festival every year. My worst show ever should be on the first day of my DJ career back in the year 2000 with only a tiny group of people.
Austin: My best show should be the Big Moutain festival in 2020 and my worst show should be a small show in 2019 and that’s the second show in my life.

4. If you had to choose, which profession would you be going with? DJ or something else?

Spacemonkey: Good DJ, Good Producer, and perfect Daddy.
Austin: I want to be a good DJ & Producer.

6. With which intl. act would you love to collaborate and why?

Spacemonmkey: Carl Cox, he’s my idol in this business. Great DJ, Producer, and businessman. Need to know how to keep himself as a King to this day.
Austin: Before this, I would say Avicii. But now Martin Garrix will be my answer. He’s been in the top 100 DJ Mag since he was only 16 years old.
