DJ Patty Tiu Exclusive Interview for EDMDroid Asia

1. Please tell us and our readers more about the nightlife in The Philippines right now in times of Covid, specifically in your hometown of Manila.

Clubs and bars are temporarily closed until the situation gets better. It's been almost 2 years since I played for an actual physical gig setup. Some venues have permanently closed their doors, while some are really struggling to keep everything together and hope that one day they may be able to welcome their patrons again.

2. How long have you been DJing and what can we expect next from Patty Tiu?

I've been DJing since 2011. Because there aren't any shows at the moment, I've been taking the time to focus on music production - and taking care of 3 startup companies we're launching this year.

3. What has been your best and your worst gig experience so far. Be honest please, don't hold back.

Best gigs are the ones where I get to really play my sound, which is trance music. Worst gigs - are gigs wherein people expect me to wear sexy outfits, request from me as if I'm a radio DJ, and gigs that require me to play top 40's music from 1-40 lol!

4.If you had to choose, which profession would you be going with? DJ or something else?

No matter the choice - I think I'd be DJing 'til the end. I may be doing other things, but I'll always go back to it. There will come a time when I won't be playing for other people anymore, but just for myself and for my soul.

Exis! I love his sound. It's what I play on my sets. I think we'd make a pretty kick ass track together, if given the chance. :)
