Jadon Fonka Exclusive Interview for EDMDroid Asia

1. Please tell us and our readers more about the nightlife in Sri Lanka right now and most specifically in your hometown Colombo in times of Covid.

Night life in Colombo has been rapidly growing after covid vaccinations has been given to our nation. It was slow at the beginning but comparing it with 2020 the raver squad has risen up better and stronger! A new place named “Zouk” is now the hottest club in colombo to hang out and party all night long!

2. How long have you been DJing & Producing and what can we expect next from you?

I’ve been Djing since i was 16 years old. Started as a hobby, ended up as my dream job just after signing up with Revealed Recordings back in 2019! I’ve been playing some hot clubs and festivals out in Sri lanka and I’m currently the resident DJ at Zouk Colombo! Meanwhile I’ve been working on some sick projects with both local and international artists which is every exciting to make it happen and expore!

3. What has been your best and your worst gig experience so far. Be honest please, don't hold back.

Best: Startings from a local festival called “Wonderland” to “Neverland” was super lit! Everything was going perfectly well! Neverland date was a heavy rain date yet managed to pack up the whole stadium with about 3000 people!

Worst: This year i played one event which i would not like to revealed the name of the concert but it ended up bad. I mean BAD. Why? Cause simply the visuals and lighting crew playing an intro with sounds when i asked not to. Long story short it crashed for about a min with my 1st track of my playlist. Had to stop and restart the whole session without lightnings or nothing for about 1 min.

4. If you had to choose, which profession would you be going with? DJ, actress or something else?

It’ll always be a DJ / Producer. Music has been always there for me since the start. So is my father and his family is related to music and media so i grew up with music a lot which eventually grew up in me. Music made me realize how much of a capacity is hidden in me. From worst to best times of my life it was always music so its gonna be a DJ / Producer more like an artist.
